About Rishi

Rishi Ayurveda is a venture of the Njallakattu Group — a family rooted in Poonjar, a town at the foothills of the Western Ghats, which holds a noble history as the capital of the Poonjar Kingdom. The family has a legacy of more than 200 years in medical practice, and its ancestors were part of the palace physicians in the Poonjar dynasty. Being from this traditional Ayurvedic family, the group aims to provide world-class treatments to patients at affordable costs.

With this in mind, in the early 90s Rishi Research Products started operations as the first venture from the Njallakattu family, developing medicines for ailments like diabetes, headache, cholesterol, allergies, dandruff, psoriasis and ulcers. In tandem with its growing footprint in Kerala, the brand launched Rishi Ayurveda Hospital and Research Centre in 2010.

Nestled amidst tropical palm trees and coconut groves and overlooking the beautiful Sahyadri Hills, the hospital is a place to experience the benefits of classical Ayurvedic healthcare.
